Sarah-Anne graduated from Stenberg College in March 2024 with a diploma in Counselling Therapist – Private Practice and plans to continue her education by pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Counselling.
With a diverse background and a passion for helping others, Sarah-Anne brings a compassionate and well-rounded approach to her work. She has experience supporting individuals facing a variety of challenges, including crisis situations, substance use issues, homelessness, and those coming out of the criminal justice system. Sarah-Anne has also worked with children, primarily those on the autism spectrum.
In her work with children, Sarah-Anne utilizes a combination of behavioural therapy and occupational therapy techniques to help clients develop emotional regulation, communication skills, and functional independence in ways that are individualized and supportive. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in a person-centered philosophy, where she prioritizes creating a respectful, non-judgmental space for clients to feel empowered and heard throughout their therapeutic journey.
Outside of her professional work, Sarah-Anne has a deep passion for music and singing. She finds joy and calm in the breathtaking scenery of Vancouver Island and enjoys spending time with her Australian Shepherd, Magnolia.

Rakel graduated from the Kelowna College of Professional Counselling in October of 2020 with a Diploma of Applied Psychology and Professional Counselling, specialization in Spiritual Counselling. Rakel plans to continue her education with the goal of obtaining a Masters in Counselling Psychology and a Diploma in Compassionate Inquiry.
Rakel has been working in the mental health field for the last 4 years, leading women’s group counselling through a local church, volunteering with a crisis response organization and also has multiple years' experience in supporting the unhoused and those coming out of the criminal justice system, amongst other relevant involvements.
Rakel first became intrigued with the field in her early teens after experiencing the incredible benefits of counselling herself. This time ignited a genuine passion and interest for studying mental health and she has been doing so since then. She deeply believes in the power of empathetic, compassionate care resulting in long term healing.
In her free time, Rakel is often gardening, painting, exploring the island, volunteering in various fields and spending time with family.
